SUN-MAR Garden Composter 600 |
This unit is not yet available.
The 600 is designed as the most flexible composter ever. Ideal for where there is a lot of material to compost, the 600 will operate either as a dual chamber unit, or as a continuous flow unit. |
Operating in Dual Chamber Mode |
Operating in Continuous flow Mode |
- With the divider that separates both chambers closed, each chamber will compost independently. This mode is best for regular garden waste, where separate batched can be started at different times.
|
- With the divider open, compost will move (as the drum rotates) along the first chamber, through the open divider into the second chamber, and then as the second chamber fills, out through the output port. This mode is better where kitchen waste or finely chopped garden waste is being composted.
|
General Operation of the 600
|
Compost able material will be added to the 600 by unscrewing one of the two input ports. To mix and aerate the compost, rotate the shaft handle which has two small gears which turn the drum via direct gears on both drum ends.
Compost will be removed by unscrewing the output port door on either end (in dual chamber mode) or at the far end (for continuous flow mode), and rotating the drum. The compost will fall from the output port into a wheel barrow or other container. |
